Thanksgiving was fun. We went to the Smithsonian American Art Museum via Metro. We had a blast. Eliana loved riding the trains. There was a neat exhibit for kids called "Invention at Play" - http://americanhistory.si.edu/exhibitions/exhibition.cfm?key=38&exkey=92
While we were at the Exhibit, a little girl pointed to Eliana and said her name. I was a little surprised, to say the least. It turns out the little girl (she was adorable!) was in Eliana's class this past summer. The two toddlers played together and we had fun chatting with her parents.
Onto some great news. It seems Maya MAY have gotten over her intolerance to dairy. Maya has an intolerance to dairy and soy. That means that if I eat dairy or soy and it gets in her milk, she's in a lot of pain. I therefore have not had diary since we discovered this problem SIX months ago, yes SIX months without cheese, pizza, butter, ice cream, you got it.
Since this was a long weekend, I decided it was time to see if Maya still had her allergies. I found out that she's still very sensitive to soy. However, I ate Pasta with Cheese (!) one night for dinner. And Maya was fine!!!! Today I went nuts. I bought Ice Cream Sandwiches from Trader Joe's and demolished one in two minutes flat. I am dreaming of lasagna . . .
Here are some recent pictures of the girls.
